What to bring to a first conversation
Most first meetings are short and useful when a few things are to hand. None of it is mandatory, and we are happy to talk through an idea that is still forming, but the more of this you have, the faster we can give you a straight answer rather than a general one.
- •What you are trying to hold or build: an operating business, a holding structure, a fund, or family assets.
- •Where the underlying assets and counterparties sit, since that usually drives the jurisdiction decision more than anything else.
- •Who will own and control the entity, including any corporate shareholders.
- •Passport copies and proof of address for each proposed director and shareholder.
- •Constitutional documents for any overseas corporate shareholder.
- •The last two or three years of accounts, if an existing business is involved.
- •Your realistic timeline, and whether a bank account is needed on day one.
Finding the office
Atlas sits in Gate Village Building 10, on Level 3, in the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre. Gate Village is the cluster of low-rise buildings immediately behind the DIFC Gate Building, a short walk from Emirates Towers metro station and directly accessible from Al Sukook Road.
Parking is available in the DIFC basement car parks beneath Gate Village and Gate Avenue. Please let us know in advance if you are visiting, so we can meet you at reception and arrange building access.
Working with clients abroad
A large share of our clients are outside the UAE when they first get in touch, most often in the UK, Europe and India. Almost the entire process can be handled remotely: incorporation, statutory filings and ongoing administration rarely require you to be in Dubai. The exceptions are usually bank account opening and residence visa formalities, and we will tell you at the outset which steps genuinely need you here and roughly when.
